10 Aug USA and Canada: from New York to Vancouver, via Route 66
This is my first true experience in the United States and I think it’s a pretty good debut.
Daniele and I decided to take a coast to coast journey in America and to finish our trip in Vancouver, Canada… where we’ll relax and work remotely š
I think it’s the dream of many people. It’s definitely one of my dreams come true.
When we bought the round-trip flights, we decided to land in New York and leave from Vancouver to have the opportunity to live and work a few weeks in one of the Canadian cities that has always fascinated me.
At first we thought of traveling to Maine and seeing the cities of Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, but when it came to deciding our itinerary, Route 66Ā conquered our hearts.
Thus we began choosing what to see (and what to leave for the next trip), calculating the distances (which in America are considerable), reading reviews and buying guides.
And we put together our itinerary: from New York to Chicago, ready to start on Route 66. From Chicago to Los Angeles, passing through the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Death Valley. From Los Angeles to Seattle, with a stop over in San Francisco and Portland. And then by coach to Vancouver.
Over 8,500 km, to be traveled in 25 days . I can’t wait to leave!
How do you organize a trip like this?
In my next article I’ll talk about what to know (and do) before leaving.
I’m sure that our adventure in discovering the USA and Canada will be full of stories to experience, places to visit and food to taste.
I’il try telling you a little bit at a time.
