Insta360 ONE is a small video camera capable of shooting at 360 degrees and instantly turning your iPhone or iPad into a cutting-edge tool for shooting, sharing and streaming live.
The first home “Action Camera”; Insta360 for the consumer world (not professionals), this summer attracted my attention and here I am talking to you about it.
The camera can be used in three modes:

1. With its selfie stick
2. With its tripod
3. Connecting it to your iPhone Lightning port and accessing the Insta360 ONE application.

The camera has two lenses on a short and ergonomic body. There’s only one button for navigation and there’s no screen. The side button is used both to turn it on and as manual shutter and you can press it quickly two or three times to switch from photos to video and to shutter.
The camera is mainly made of plastic, but quite sturdy.

WHO IS THE INSTA360 ONE MADE FOR?

Despite being a universal video camera, Insta360 one was created with a certain predisposition for IOS devices. In fact, it’s equipped with a Lightning connector that springs out of the central body and enables it to connect to iPhones.
It’s a great idea and since I’m a “fan of the Apple world” I can only be happy with Insta360’s choice. Unfortunately, the Lightning connector isn’t solid enough to fully support the weight of the camera and there’s a risk of unbalancing it. I suggest being careful.
There’s an adapter for Android phones that provides a safer physical connection to the camera.

Once you’ve unwrapped the box, the camera is immediately ready for use. “Pairing” with mobile phones is simple and fast; you just need to open its application so as to have everything under control, regardless of whether you are using Insta360 ONE directly from an iPhone or via Bluetooth.
From the app you can: make videos, take pictures, edit photos and videos, share your favorite moments with the community and your friends.
Once you’ve taken the photos and videos, they can be saved on the supplied micro SD and can be downloaded by connecting the video camera to the computer or directly to an iPhone. Once they’re on your phone, you’ll need to open them from the application itself to interpret the photos and videos.

APPLICATION AND SOFTWARE

The computer application is true video editing software that allows you to make any corrections, or to edit videos with fisheye or flow stitching effects, either to export videos in 360 degrees or Bullet time mode.
Videos and photos made with Insta360 ONE are compatible only with its applications and in order to share them the Insta360 Studio is required.
The application used on a mobile is more limited; it allows basic editig and sharing on various social channels.

You can find Insta360 Firmware, Insta360 App, Insta360 Studio to edit your photos and videos and Insta360 Player directly on the Insta360 website.
